real world radio is an iniciative that combines the use of the radio and the new tools provided by internet, to make possible the comunication between the diverse individuals, groups and social organizations trying to break the informative wall imposed by the official media about the dealing of the World Trade Organization (WTO).
real world radio is a common iniciative of Friends of the Earth (FoEI) with World Communitarian Radios Association (AMARC), which objective is to show the impacts the "commercial liberalization" had in our countries, and, at the same time, to inform about some of the thousands of ways that´s been offered to the local communities to resist the transnational corporations ambitions.
In Cancún real world radio will make a special coverage of the official agenda of the new round of WTO negociations and, in particular, about the movilizations and forums that will be taken from the civil society during the fist two weeks of September. Such programmation, once in the web, will be available in it´s version in Spanish, Portugese, and in English, or in one of more than 300 radios part of World Communitarian Radios Association in Latin America and the Caribbean.
