WE HAVE A FAST SERVER!
Cachefly is one of the fastest
and best file hosts on the planet. They have generously donated
the space and bandwidth to IFG for the Confronting
the Global Triple Crisis Teach-in audio and video files. During
testing, we consistently see 6Mbits/sec
(750KB/s) download speeds from cachefly. This is the equivalent
to downloading our largest video file, 105MB, in less than 3 minutes.
The server speed should not be a problem.
BIG FILES TAKE TIME TO DOWNLOAD
Please be patient, the video and audio filesa are large. The audios/videos
are up to 30 minutes in length. They are up to 105MB in size. A typical
1.5Mb/sec net connection with nothing else being downloaded will
complete this download in about 12min, On a 512Kb/s DSL/Cable/Wireless
connection with multiple users, these files can take over
30 minutes to download. Your speeds will vary. (Movies can be started
before the entire file is downloaded, if not, see "video/audio
never loads" below.)
THE PROGRESS BAR
Allow the audio/video to download for a few minutes before pressing
the play button. When you see the progress bar moving along the
bottom of the window, you can start playing the audio/video. If
the current location circle catches up to the progress bar, you
may encounter stuttering or the video/audio may stop. In that situation,
pause and allow more time for the file to download.
STUTTERING VIDEO
If the video stutters while viewing, allow more time for the video
to load, or install the latest version of quicktime.
Some older computer may not have enough power to run the video;
try quitting all applications, relaunch your browser, and only
open one browser window.
BAD LINKS
If a video shows a Quicktime icon with a question mark, the link
is bad. The problem is on the server side, not your side. We believe
we tested all of the links, but something things slip through the
cracks. Please send an email, letting us know which video has a
bad link. The webmaster will attempt to contact after the link
is fixed.

VIDEO/AUDIO NEVER LOADS
If the video shows the Quicktime icon and never loads, first check
to see that you have a solid internet connection, you have left
enough time for the video to load, other videos load, and you have
the latest version of quicktime.
If you still notice a problematic video or audio, please do let
us know, we want to fix it for everyone. Send an email noting the
page with the problem. If possible, also note your computer (mac/pc,
old/new, ram, mhz) and speed/type of your internet connection (1.5Mbps,
DSL, Cable, wifi hot spot, dialup). The webmaster will work on
a solution and attempt to contact you to verify it's working.

CAN I WATCH/LISTEN ON MY IPOD/IPHONE
We don't have an RSS feed setup yet. (Right now, the only way to
do this is to hijack the content and convert it to an ipod usable
format.)
